How It Works:
A "Flipped Classroom"
In a traditional class,
the teacher talks.
In a "flipped classroom",
the class is about helping you talk.
1. Watch and Learn the Video Before Class
Watch and learn (using the quiz) the video on FluentU before class.
2. Live Class: Practice Words From the Video
In the live zoom class, you can practice the words from the video. Talk with classmates. Get feedback and encouragement from the teacher.
3. Ask Questions and Discuss With Teacher And Classmates (Any Time)
Join a community. Send messages to the teacher and your classmates.

I'm a qualified English language teacher (CELTA, DELTA) with a career spanning over 20 years in the field of English as a foreign language, in positions such as teacher, teacher trainer, academic advisor, director of studies, materials writer and content editor. I have a lot of experience teaching and creating materials for business English with a focus on helping the learners communicate naturally.
I'm a native English speaker from the UK with a degree in French and linguistics. I also speak fluent Spanish (I live in Madrid, Spain) and I have a good command of French, Italian and modern Greek, but I use English throughout my lessons.
I enjoy contributing to FluentU's innovative and engaging approach to learning languages. I'm also a big fan of film, music and learning new things, so FluentU is the perfect platform for me.
